As it has no Goretex membrane it makes it a lot cooler to wear so it's ideal for those hotter climates and dry days, but no good if it rains. The Salomon Elios Mid GTX is a oiled nubuck leather and suede mid shoe with a Goretex membrane so it's ideal for all year round use on easy tracks and trailsand with the extra height it offers more protection for going through wet grass etc.
It has Salomons unique Non-marking Contagrip sole unit for great grip and support. They are extremely well padded inside thanks to there Ortholite insole and 3D fit system you get a great fit around the whole of your foot.

The Meindl Maine Mid GTX is a nubuck leather finish mid with a Goretex membrane so it's idela for wetter condtions and as it's slightly higher than a shoe it gives more protection when it comes to wet grass. The sole is made from Meindls own non slip rubberso it gives great support on rougher paths and trails.

Merrell Moab Mid GTX Mens

The Merrell Moab Mid GTX has a very sturdy supportive sole unit with a Vibram Multi-Sport sole to it. It has a synthetic and leather upper finish to it along with very breathable mesh upper and a Goretex membrane so it's fully waterproof aswell.
There's also a rubber toe rand to it ideal to prevent scuffing when going over rougher terrain.
